What instruments do you have and are available?
We currently offer three different models to cater to the needs of beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. We have hand-picked these specific models because of their value for money.
What size instrument do I need?
Refer to this size chart or ask your teacher for advice on the ideal size for you.
What is included in the "outfit"?
The outfit includes the instrument, a carbon fiber bow, a case, and a cleaning cloth. Accessories such as rosin, shoulder rests, and anchor straps must be purchased separately.
How long is the rental contract?
Violin rentals run for a minimum of three months. No exit charges apply after this period, as long as the instrument is in good condition. If no cancellation is made, rentals will automatically renew quarterly.
Can I buy my rental instruments?
Yes, we offer a rent-to-own program where you can redeem the credit accumulated from your violin rental towards the purchase of one of our instruments (excluding case or bow). You may buy the instrument you are currently renting or upgrade/exchange for a different size or model.
How do I trade sizes when I need a bigger instrument?
You can exchange your instrument at any time, as long as you return it in good condition.
Can I use credit from my rental towards the purchase of a new instrument?
If you are part of the rent-to-own programme, you will receive a 35% credit from your monthly rental fee rental that you may only redeem towards an instrument purchase. The minimum rental period to be eligible for this credit is 12 months, and the maximum is 36 months. No further credit can be accumulated past the 36-month mark.
Do I need to repair my rented instruments if something breaks?
Absolutely not!. Please do not perform any repairs outside of All Things Strings. That means no glue or tape to keep it together! We do not authorize any repairs or work done on any of our instruments by outside parties. In the event that something breaks, simply bring the piece(s) to us in a sealed bag.
Can I visit your shop?
We hope to one day welcome musicians from all over to visit our shop in person and have a cup of coffee together. Until then, we are online-only!
